With this latest phase of the VR community coming-of-age, and as the dust settles, Kevin Williams – industry specialist on the Out-of-Home entertainment sector, looks at the explosion of interest in VR in a commercial entertainment setting. Charting the rise of VR Arcade, the interest in Location-Based VR, and towards what a future in the commercial entertainment scene could be for the technology, offering his experience in addressing the needs and issues shaping this once overlooked sector.

He also is the publisher of The Stinger Report, covering this fascinating sector. A well known and respected commentator and observer of the industry – especially looking at the latest immersive technology defining this emerging sector. He is the co-author of the book the “Immersive Frontier”, working hard with his co-author to complete the second edition of this part-work. Kevin, is also a prolific presenter & writer on the scene, with a column in VRFocus and numerous features in the trade media.

His works range from lands for major theme parks, VR for music festivals, mobile and AAA video games to interactive and brand development for Toyota, NBC Universal, Saathci & Saatchi, Warner Brothers, Marvel and Nintendo.
